Artist Statement
I am an abstract expressionist artist of Nigerian heritage, shaped by resilience, reflection, and raw emotion. Though self-taught in many ways, my formal studies in art have only deepened my instinct to create from the soul. My canvas is not just a surface it is a confessional, a mirror, a battlefield. Each stroke is a memory. Each color, a confession.
My work is born from lived experience: the trials that tested me, the emotions that moved me, and the quiet moments that taught me to listen to my own spirit. I do not paint what I see I paint what I feel. My pieces are not meant to be decoded, but felt. They are visual diaries of survival and transformation, layered with texture, tension, and truth.
To the viewer, my art is an invitation. You are not just looking at paint you are witnessing my life through abstraction. I ask you to lean in, to feel the weight of color, and to find your own story within mine. Because while my journey is personal, the emotions are universal.
This is not just art. This is testimony.
